Hello Fighting Turtles families,

Another swim season is upon us and we are looking forward to a great year.  We feel like this will be our best season yet, so feel free to share and encourage your neighbors & friends to join the team.

We have some very exciting announcements to make, but first we want to take the time to thank Coach John Loeffelholz for being an outstanding coach over the past 3 years.  Coach John resigned at the beginning of the year and wishes the team and swimmers the best of luck in the upcoming season.  Coach John along with his wife Melissa have given a lot of time and hard work to the Turtles.  They have always been very passionate for our community and team.  We will always be thankful and appreciative. 

Over the past month we have been working hard to find a replacement for Coach John.  Someone that has the same work ethic, character and love for the kids that Coach John has displayed over the past several years.  With that being said, we are extremely excited to announce and welcome our new Fighting Turtles coaches for the 2017 swim season:

Head Coach:  Junior Temotio

Asst. Coach: Gus Calado

Asst. Coach: Jack Alderson

Bios for each coach can be found on our website, but all three are nationally recognized swimmers and have extensive coaching experience.  Coach Junior, who has just moved here from the west coast, was most recently nominated for age group coach of the year in Oregon.  Coach Gus and Jack are currently the head coaches of the Nease High Swim Team and also Planet Swim.

We hope you will visit our Fighting Turtles website to view the updated practice and swim meet schedules.  Also, mark your calendars for our coaches meet & greets:

Thursday, March 30th @ King & The Bear 5:30-7:30pm

Tuesday, April 4th @ Murabella 5:30-7:30pm

You are welcome to attend either date no matter where you reside.  This is an opportunity to meet the coaches, try on suits, and to answer any questions.

Angela and I have happily agreed to stay on as Co-Presidents of the team to assist with the transition of the coaches.  We are thankful and excited for new families to join the board.  Please welcome:
