Meet Coach Temotio
Head Coach Junior Temotio
EDUCATION BACKGROUND:
Graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing in 2012 where he was a four year scholarship swimmer, holding records in several relays and ranked among the school’s all-time top 10 in the 50 Freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.
COACHING BACKGROUND:
As a younger coach, Junior started his career as a full time age group coach for the West Houston Aquatic Team in Houston, Texas. Most recently, Temotio coached one of the Senior groups at Coral springs swim club and prior to that the Head age group coach for Bearcat Swim Club, now Mid Valley Aquatics in Salem, Oregon. Temotio has coached Junior National level qualifiers and doubled the success rate of State and sectional level swimmers while coaching for Bearcat Swim Club. While coaching at the club level, Temotio also was the assistant coach for Willamette University men’s and women’s swim team.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
A national-caliber swimmer for Brazil and the US. He was an age group national champion in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 Butterfly. Temotio, also swam and finished High school in the United States and was a Conoco Phillips National and Junior National Qualifier as well as a medalist in the 2007 Speedo Sectionals in Federal Way, WA. Since taking his passion for swimming into coaching he has transformed a large group producing multiple top 8 State and Sectional swimmers. Temotio, was also nominated for age group coach of the year in Oregon, in his second year of coaching.
