Are you ready Fighting Turtles!!!! Mock Meet & Pictures in the morning
Tomorrow is our mock meet. For many, this is their first time, so there may be some jitters, which is normal. We have some AMAZING returning Turtles who will take our hatchlings under their flippers and have a lot of fun like Crush (turtle from Finding Nemo) said “cause we were like, “woaaaah”, and I was like, “woaaah” and you were like “woaaahh…” in the best surfer dude accent ever.
(Please tell me that quoting a moving from 2003 does not make me old)
The meet tomorrow is just for our turtles so it is a great place to ask all the questions and get those jitters out. We will be setting up like it is a full meet so that everyone will be ready for next weekend when we take on the Aberdeen Rays. We will be run through an abbreviated schedule so please pay attention to the events closely. There will not be as much down-time for our swimmers as there is in a full meet.
To prepare you will find a few attachments with this email:
- Entry list - which will show you what races your swimmer is in. Please use the entry list to write the events and numbers on your swimmer's arm.
- Heat sheet - This will show you who will be in our pool for what events tomorrow.
Reminder if your child is in a relay they MUST stay or risk losing the ability to swim in relays the remainder of the season. We wish we did not have to have this in place but when one child does not show we end up with 3 other children very upset that they cannot swim, which is heartbreaking. If you have any questions, please contact Coach or Kim by 6:45am the morning of the race.
